About us
The Community Gym: Strength. Community. Progress.
I wasn’t the kid you'd expect to end up running a gym. I was the kid who loved sport, not because I was the best at it, but because of what came with it—the laughter, the friendships, the feeling of being part of something. I was a bit overweight, always trying to keep up, but what stuck with me wasn’t failure—it was the sense of belonging.
That’s what drives everything we do at The Community Gym.
I spent years studying Sports Coaching and Development, earning both an undergraduate and a master’s degree, because I knew I wanted to use sport and movement as tools for change. During my studies, I helped run projects that did more than just get people fit—they built confidence, reduced social issues, and gave people a fresh start. Those experiences taught me that exercise doesn’t have to be about punishment or aesthetics—it can be about purpose and connection.
And that’s what we’re building here.
A Different Kind of Gym
Gyms can be intimidating. I've been there. But they don’t have to be. With over 15 years of experience running group fitness sessions, I’ve seen first hand that fitness can be fun, inclusive, and genuinely supportive—when done right.
The Community Gym is designed for people who don’t feel like they belong in traditional gym environments. Whether you’re just starting out, getting back into it, or looking for something deeper than just sets and reps—we’re here for you.
When you walk through our doors, it won’t feel like stepping into a commercial gym. It’ll feel like walking into a room full of friends—ready for a good chat, a laugh, and a bit of hard work.
More Than Just Workouts
Our Membership Plan gives you unlimited access to group classes, personalised home workouts through our coaching app, and regular check-ins to keep you moving forward. We also provide bespoke nutrition support and lifestyle coaching, so you're supported in every area of your health journey.
Progress doesn’t just come from perfect form or meal plans—it comes from consistency. And consistency is much easier to find when you're surrounded by people who care.
A Place to Belong
After six months here, we hope you’ll not only feel stronger and healthier, but that you’ll enjoy training for the first time in your life. You’ll have new friends. You’ll feel more confident. You might even find yourself mentoring someone else who’s just walked in, unsure of where to start.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
